1. Ubon Ratchathani University has cooperation with the National Blood Center, Thai Red Cross Society, aiming to establish a stationary blood donation unit at Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital and help reserve sufficient blood supply for normal conditions and blood shortages.
2. Ubon Ratchathani University has cooperation with 7 ministries for the development of people throughout their lives including preschool children and elderly during 2022 – 2026, aiming to develop the potential of Thai people and to promote good health in accordance with 5H principles consisting of 1. Heart, having good mind and discipline 2. Head, having critical thinking, 3.Hand, eager to learn and skillful, 4.Health, being hygienic and healthy and 5.Hi-tech, being modern and tech-savvy.
3. Ubon Ratchathani University has cooperation withSubdistrict Administrative Organization to enhance local mechanisms and partnerships for improving the quality of life of elderly populations. One case study involves collaboration with the Bung Wai and Hua Don Subdistrict Administrative Organizations in Ubon Ratchathani Province. This community-driven research project addresses local issues through community-initiated questions, data-based decision-making, and self-funded initiatives aimed at solving specific community challenges. Ubon Ratchathani University deliver outreach programmes and projects in the local community to improve or promote health & wellbeing including hygiene, nutrition, family planning, sports, exercise, aging well, and other health and wellbeing related topics.
Ubon Ratchathani University has initiated projects and activities to promote community health, covering aspects such as hygiene, nutrition, family planning, sports, exercise, age-appropriate health, and more. The initiatives include:
1. Community Leader Capacity Building Activities: This program involved 96 participants, including Village Health Volunteers and Family Volunteers. Participants consisted of representatives from Pho Yai Subdistrict (20 people), Si Khai Subdistrict (20 people), Kham Kwang Subdistrict (49 people), and a team of seven university faculty members. Assessment results on diabetes and hypertension knowledge, as well as nutrition for these conditions, revealed that 100% of the health leaders showed knowledge improvement by at least one level. The average pre-training score was 6.07, while the post-training score averaged 8.76, indicating that the activities enhanced participants' understanding of diabetes, hypertension, and appropriate nutrition for affected individuals.
2. Behavior Modification for Diabetic and Hypertensive Patients with Uncontrolled Symptoms: This activity provided patient education, pre-participation health assessments, and regular health monitoring, coordinated by a team of university medical faculty, health leaders, and the patients. A total of 302 patients participated, including 223 diabetic and hypertensive patients from Pho Yai Subdistrict and 79 from Kham Kwang Subdistrict. Of these, 67.88% had both diabetes and hypertension, while 32.12% had only hypertension. Health tracking indicated that 243 patients (80.46%) with hypertension, with or without coexisting diabetes, managed to control their blood pressure to 140/90 mmHg or lower, reducing from an average of 145.12/82.73 mmHg pre-program to 127.7/81.59 mmHg post-program. Additionally, 50 diabetic patients (24.39%) achieved a reduction in blood glucose levels compared to pre-program measurements. Follow-up monitoring will continue through November 2024.

1. Ban Khok Kong School requests to use the university’s central sports field for training the girl scouts.
2. The Warin Chamrap District Office requests to use the university’s central sports field.
3. Port Day and Event Service Co., Ltd. requests permission to use the football field and basketball court.
4. The Thai Unicycle Sports Association requests to use the university’s central sports field to organize the 1st Thailand Unicycle Championship 2023.

Ubon Ratchathani University offers an adolescent clinic at Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital. The clinic provides contraceptive and sexual advice in collaboration with the Student Council who organized campaigns for the prevention and screening of sexually transmitted diseases through a mobile HIV/syphilis counseling and screening services (Mobile VCT).

Ubon Ratchathani University provides a mental health clinic at Ubon Ratchathani University Hospital. The clinic serves UBU students and staff and the public regarding mental health and psychiatric treatment services.
Moreover, Ubon Ratchathani University provides Psychological counseling services (UBU wellness mind) to students by psychologists and psychiatrists. The counseling unit is available from Monday - Friday during 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. through various accessible channels such as by phone, face to face and Facebook chat. Students can make an appointment with the university's mental health advisory team through an online platform. In 2021-2022, there were 11 students who were involved.

Ubon Ratchathani University has a “smoke free” policy.
Ubon Ratchathani University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on cooperation to promote a tobacco-free environment in higher education institutions. This MOU is a collaborative agreement between the Ministry of Public Health, the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research, and Innovation, participating higher education institutions, and the National Alliance for a Tobacco-Free Society in Thailand. The university has implemented self-assessments and undergone evaluations based on seven standards for tobacco-free, health-promoting universities. Additionally, Ubon Ratchathani University has established a Tobacco-Free Campus Committee to ensure compliance with relevant laws and policies.
